food poisoning helps you lose weight
so, haven't eaten anything but 1/2 a grilled chicken food long and some chicken noodle soup since sunday night!

By the way, more donuts today. What is it with this office and donuts? Usually its just a friday thing. Actually, now that I think about it, it may be helping to have them in here frequently. Because now I just think "Oh, donuts again. What else is new?" Instead of OOOOOH! FRIED DOUGH AND SUGAR YES! I WANT ONE NOW!
At least that is what I will tell myself until I no longer can smell them...

We're not done chewing yet. Licorice, which has an active ingredient called glycyrrhetinic acid, has been shown to help reduce body fat mass. (The good news is you don't have to be able to pronounce the acid to reap its benefits.)
Decio Armanini, M.D., who did the research at Italy's University of Padua, explains that there are two ways licorice works. The first is complicated and involves blocking an enzyme that plays a role in fat accumulation. The second is simpler. "Licorice can reduce appetite," he says. "The effect is probably related to the agreeable taste of licorice, and for that reason people do not need to eat more."
We're not talking Twizzlers here; go for the real thing, preferably with licorice extract high on its ingredient list. (Look for it in grocery stores, not convenience stores.) A handful is about 150 calories and will keep you busy chewing something sweet, flavorful, and satisfying for twice the time it takes to down a bag of M&M's.

So I met with a personal trainer yesterday and she told me something that I didn't know so I thought I would share because maybe it's news to you also.
When looking at carbs make sure to calculate "net carbs" which is just the amount of carbs minus the amount of fiber. Apparently fiber is the "anti-carb" and basically negates the carbs that you eat. So if you eat a fiber one bar (which contains about 1/2 the fiber you need in a day) you will negate that many carbs!
So one more reason to make sure that you get lots of fiber!

Is anybody out there?
I think i figured it out! Ok, so megan and I were talking via email today and got into the conversation about how we're both trying to be healthier and all that jazz. So she gave me the link to here! May I please be accepted into 10 (or 25) Pounds, WOOT WOOT!? Also, I really like that calorie counter. How might one go about getting one of those?

i tried to become a professional wii tennis player, that was my workout.....
i did eat a lean cuisine for dinner, and that's it. so, yay me.
and yeah, it's a pregnant man. it's just motivation for thadd, that anything can happen, you can lose that 25 pounds!

Here's a sad story. I drove out to the gym last night for Fight Fit. I got there and no one was in class....so what does Claire do? Leaves! I spent an hour driving just to go home and do an hour work out on my own. I almost called Meg but I was for sure she would tell me to go in and I didn't want to.

Green Beans
I am eating green beans....this better freaking make me drop 10bls.......hell 15!!

i figured it out! well, i'm on a half frozen energy blast (500 calories probably) and half diet mountain dew for the day...well unless you count that chicken chimichanga.....i love those things...it only has 80 carbs and 24 grams of fat.......i wanta the chinese buffet!

i am NOT feeling it this morning either.......god damn bud light, why must you tempt me.
let's be honest though, i'm not going to quit drinking, so somehow we need to work this into our weight-loss. maybe for every night we go boozing, we have to stay in the gym an extra 30 min. haha, i'm not going to do that, i just read it and laughed.
so far today: banana and coffee.

So......if you got drunk last night I should not feel bad about pounding away on oreo's and milk when I got home last night? Hey milk is dairy and I needed my quota for the day.
We did lots of cardio and strength training at the gym last night. Other than this damn cold I am feeling pretty good. Gonna be a little tough to leave my house tonight to go back when it is -8 degrees!
Also, stocked up on a lot of lean protein, veggies and complex carbs last night! With Meg getting wasted at night looks like I am going to get those 7's first! ha Come on Meg, make this a little challenging for me. :)
