Factoid

So I met with a personal trainer yesterday and she told me something that I didn't know so I thought I would share because maybe it's news to you also.

When looking at carbs make sure to calculate "net carbs" which is just the amount of carbs minus the amount of fiber. Apparently fiber is the "anti-carb" and basically negates the carbs that you eat. So if you eat a fiber one bar (which contains about 1/2 the fiber you need in a day) you will negate that many carbs!

So one more reason to make sure that you get lots of fiber!
